Three truths and no lies

1). One time in college, I dressed up as a lunch lady (complete with hairnet) and danced in front of the entire school to a parody of “Bye Bye Bye.”

2). My favorite past time is reading. I love it so much I have tattoos devoted to a few of my favorite series.

3). Early 2000’s hip hop is a literal gift to society.

Where It Started

Brooke Light Photography was born out of an obsession for when lighting, aesthetic and vibes come together in a way that just lands.

Where I Am Now

Over time, I realized my work wasn’t just about photos. It was about people. How the energy in the room can allow someone to relax and realize it’s okay to just be.

That realization led to two core focuses in my work today:

  • Moody Mini Photoshoots: Kids showing up as they are, wearing what they want, no smiles required. These sessions are about authenticity, not performance.

  • The Duality of Women: A series dedicated to giving women space to represent the different versions of themselves, free from outside expectations.

What’s Next

In 2025, I’ve also opened the door to photographers who want to build their own creative work with more connection and confidence. Instead of adding to the noise with another long course no one finishes, I’m creating resources that show and support the people side of photography.

Whether it’s my clients in front of the lens or photographers behind it, the goal is the same: to create space where authenticity isn’t just allowed, it’s pursued. Let’s talk more.
